Ewehurst and Staplecross

There are still places left on the coach to Ewehurst and Staplecross on Saturday 31st October. This has become a special favourite of Southover, a small, traditional village bonfire. Very atmospheric. It is your last chance to test out your costumes before The Fifth or a great chance to meet other members and pick up some tips before the big night.

Display Field – help needed

The Pyrotechnic Crew will be starting to lay out the display field at the Stanley Turner Ground on Saturday 31st October (and Sunday 1st November).

This involves unloading a truck, then carrying and setting up fence panels and helping to lay out firework racks.

We urgently need help to do so from members aged 16 or over – no fireworks will be involved so no experience is needed, just muscle!

Meet at the STG pavilion at 9am. If you’re interested and would like to meet us first, we’ll be a the first Badge Night on the 25th October or you can email us on pyrosbs@gmail.com

Update to the Photo section

The Photos page has now been updated to include a gallery of some of SBS’s finest photographs, any of which can be downloaded for a modest fee. A percentage of the proceeds go to the society so you can help raise funds simply by buying fantastic photos. The galleries will be updated throughout the season so remember to check them regularly.
