bonfire 2017 – relive the experience

Well that was good wasn’t it? A really special bonfire for many – excellent planning and preparation, a Society of committed and experienced members and a touch of good fortune with the weather made 2017 a year to remember. And to make sure it stays fresh in your memory the SBS photographers have produced yet another spectacular crop of photographs from the evening.

Southover Bonfire Society, Lewes, 4th November 2017. Please use the 'Add To Cart' button for all digital and print orders. The 'Download' button is disabled on these galleries. Proceeds go to Southover Bonfire Society (photographers can opt to receive a 50% share if they wish). Prints and digital downloads are available for SBS member's personal use. All images remain © copyright of the individual photographer. Any problems or questions, please contact mail@jamesmccauley.com

Buying photos is a great way to put a bit of money back into the Society, and to give you some fantastic souvenirs or gifts for friends and loved ones. Check the Photos page now to see this years’ selection. With thanks as always to all the photographers on the night, Ian Cumming, Emma Howard, Fergus Kennedy, Nigel Powell, Willie Robb and Hugh Wilton, and to James McCauley for hosting the galleries.

They will be wearing red rugby shirts with SBS Firesite Team written on them.

Remembrance 2017

You may remember that last year a cryptic appeal for volunteers was sent out to take part in a Remembrance Sunday event. This year, with more time to plan and greater involvement from others in the town, the event will be going ahead on 12th November. This will be a torchlit procession. Each person in the procession will represent one of the people on the war memorial.
